Patrick Hickey is a commercial litigator representing clients in a variety of industries including oil and gas, real estate, employment, construction, and private equity. A former accountant, Hickey focuses on achieving results for his clients that are beneficial from a business as well as a litigation perspective. He has successfully tried cases to judges and juries and has experience representing clients in venues around the country. He also defends clients in administrative proceedings and arbitrations.
Patrick is active in Moye White’s Employment Section and has defended employers against unemployment actions, Occupational Safety and Health Act wrongful termination complaints and Fair Labor Standards Act class action lawsuits. He has also litigated employment disputes regarding the termination of high level corporate executives.
A Wyoming native and member of the Wyoming State Bar, Patrick regularly represents clients throughout Wyoming where he has litigated cases involving mountain real estate developments, business disputes and oil and gas agreements. Patrick is licensed in all Wyoming state and federal courts.
Prior to joining Moye White, Patrick worked as a litigator for an insurance defense firm. While there, he defended clients is variety of cases including premises liability and bad faith insurance. He also previously clerked for Judge Daniel J. Kaup in Colorado’s Eighth Judicial District Court in Fort Collins, Colorado. Prior to law school, Patrick worked for Deloitte & Touche, LLP in Philadelphia and Denver where he audited public utility, insurance, and oil and gas companies.
Patrick serves on the Executive Council for the Colorado Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and on the Board of Directors for the Art Students League of Denver.
